Sophie Sucré (Danielle Currica) hails from Guyana, South America and was raised in Memphis, TN. Since graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) with a BFA in Dance and Choreography (2009), Danielle has been a freelance dance artist in Philadelphia, performing with artists Shannon Murphy, Jumatatu Poe (idiosynCrazy productions), Kate Watson-Wallace | anonymous bodies, Meredith Rainey + Tania Isaac (Pitch Dance Co), and Dance Theater X. As Sophie Sucré, she has been a chorus girl and choreographer for nine years for The Peek-A-Boo Revue, two-time Burlesque Hall of Fame ‘Best Troupe’ winners. Sophie has also performed with Brown Girls Burlesque (NYC) and Mika Romantic/Looking Glass Revue (Bethlehem, PA). She headlined the 2015 Celeste Giuliano’s Pin-Up Peepshow, the 2016 Philadelphia Burlesque Festival, and, with The Peek-A-Boo Revue, the 2017 Munich Burlesque Festival.
